OK, for all ten vehicles the total premium will be higher than a single vehicle but the example illustrates the advantages of a well run fleet policy to bring your average vehicle insurance costs down.

Fleet insurance policies are based on confirmed claims experience issued prior to renewal stating the number of vehicles insured (vehicle years) over the term of the policy, the number and value of claims paid/pending and the age of drivers permitted to use the vehicles.
This information shows underwriters the cost of claims compared to the number of vehicles being driven. A well managed fleet would have a low claims base compared to the number of vehicles being operated. Terms are based on this combination using the last three years of historic information compiled by your insurers.
Fleets can be from 3 vehicles and have no upper limit. We can use no claims bonus from individual policies and can convert these into a single fleet policy.
It is common for Company Directors to add their personal vehicles to the fleet and many of our fleets have high value cars such as Landover’s, Ferrari’s, Porsches, Mercedes and BMW’s.
Another advantage of a fleet policy is that you can choose to open the driving up with the insurers allowing any authorised driver over the age of 25. No need to declare every drivers details and having certificates with endless names. In fact some fleet insurers can include young drivers with good driving experience. Its your choice.
